This summer my best friend in the entire world married the love of her life!! A moment I had dreamed of since we met and became best friends in 2011… and I was blessed to stand beside her as her maid of honor. This summer as I shared bits and pieces of her bachelorette and wedding on my Instastories, my DM’s filled up with questions about how I did or planned things leading up to my bestie’s big day. So now that the dust has settled, I thought I would share everything on here, so I can re-share this and refer back to it!

Planning the Bachelorette:

1. A theme and a Pinterest board… we picked Tessa’s Last Ride and her sister’s and I created a board to collect ideas
2. Shop! The September before I went to Party City and dug through all of the clearence bins of bridal and bachelorette decor. Then topped it off with a Dollarama shop. After that I only had to order a handful of things that I really wanted to tie it all together!
3. Suck it, bite it, blow it!! A Pinterest idea came to life… I used bowls from the Dollarama, suckers, bubble gum and hard candy. I use these Amazon labels and wet erase pens that I already use in my pantry and closets!

4. Our bridal party shirts were also from https://www.brayerlanecreations.ca/ 

5. I got all of the bridesmaids to send in their fav photos of them with the bride and printed them at Costco and used them as part of the decor!

Bridal Party Wedding Gift

Looking back, this is one job I wish I would have delegated off to another bridesmaid. I am a control freak on my best day and as my bestie’s MOH I wanted everything to be perfect! The group of bridesmaids we had were amazing, I shout have asked for more help at times.

Shoutout to this bridal party!! They really were the effing best! Standing by your best friends side while she marries the love of her life is one of the most special moments of your life. Soak in every moment of it. Nobody tells you how much you will love and appriciate your best friends husband- the one who shows up and loves her right. So shout out to Colton, thank you for loving my girl even more than I do! And of course to my best friend in this world, Tessa, thank you for chosing me to be your number one gal, this day and every day!
