Garlic-Parmesan Chicken and Asparagus

Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts, cut in half
  • ¼ cup flower
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 pound asparagus spears
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • ½ cup shredded parmesan cheese
  • Optional: chopped parsley for garnish

Directions

  1. Melt butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat
  2. While butter is melting, whisk together flour, 1 ½ teaspoons garlic powder, ½ teaspoon salt, ¼ teaspoon black pepper. Dredge the chicken breasts in the flour mixture, be sure to coat all sides.
  3. Once butter is melted, add your chicken to the pan in a single layer. Cook for about 2-3 minutes, until brown on each side.
  4. Add asparagus to the pan, sprinkle with remaining garlic powder, salt and pepper. Cook chicken and asparagus until both are finished. 
  5. Sprinkle chicken and asparagus with parmesan cheese. Set lid on top until cheese is melted. Garnish with parsley and serve!
