Garlic-Parmesan Chicken and AsparagusÂ

Ingredients
- 2 chicken breasts, cut in half
- ¼ cup flower
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 pound asparagus spears
- 2 tablespoons butter
- ½ cup shredded parmesan cheese
- Optional: chopped parsley for garnish
Directions
- Melt butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat
- While butter is melting, whisk together flour, 1 ½ teaspoons garlic powder, ½ teaspoon salt, ¼ teaspoon black pepper. Dredge the chicken breasts in the flour mixture, be sure to coat all sides.
- Once butter is melted, add your chicken to the pan in a single layer. Cook for about 2-3 minutes, until brown on each side.
- Add asparagus to the pan, sprinkle with remaining garlic powder, salt and pepper. Cook chicken and asparagus until both are finished.Â
- Sprinkle chicken and asparagus with parmesan cheese. Set lid on top until cheese is melted. Garnish with parsley and serve!
