Bran Muffins
A family favorite recipe that comes from my great-auntie’s, curretly loving having these for breakfast!
Ingredients
- 3 cups bran
- 3 cups buttermilk
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 cups flour
- 3 teaspoon baking powder
- 3 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 teaspoon salt
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350
- Mix bran and buttermilk together and let soak while you prepare other ingredients
- Mix sugars, vanilla, eggs and oil together. Add to buttermilk and bran. Then add dry ingredients.
- Bake at 350 for 20 minutes
- After you take them out of the oven, turn them on their sides in the pan and place a tea towel over them, so they steam for a little while, this will make them more soft and moist.Â
